Public Safety Role Play

Our History

The Public Safety Role Play Community plays within the computer game GTA V. It was envisioned as a community for the upcoming Police 1013, but after delays in that game's development a decision was made to retreat to GTA IV and continue with building a Role Play community that we could all enjoy. Many of the founding members of Public Safety Role Play had been involved in other groups and clans, but found common unity while members of Braveheart's LCPD. Based from their real world and digital life experiences, we conitinued a tradition of a hybrid community that we enjoyed; a community that would incorporate elements of emergency services from around the world. We come from all walks of life: current and ex law enforcement, current fire/rescue, ex military, and ex emergency dispatchers. From several ideas the world and universe of Ontario was created. Thanks to recent developments for GTA V we are now playing exlclusively on GTA V.

Thanks to the size of the map of GTA V, the Community is divided into three seperate departments with varying roles and responsibilities. They are; the Los Santos Police, the Blaine County Sheriff's Office, and the Ontario State Police. At this time there is no Fire/Rescue services, although implementation of that element of gameplay is coming soon.

The Role Play

Good role play and stable scripts are important to us; and to that end we have built our own MDC and CAD systems for our exclusive use. The tools allow us to create extended role play beyond the game that is evolving and creative, as well as fun and interactive. The elements of the role play are inclusive of everyone participating, both in and out of game. Dispatchers out of game and RP participants in game will find a vibrant and interactive universe that will react to their actions and evolve as they play in game and participate in extended role play out of game if they choose. There are many opportunites at Public Safety Role Play for people of any skill level. We are also developing scripts for our use as we play and evolve as a community. We have a dedicated team of people who spend much of their free time building models and peds, writing scripts, maintenancing our server, and developing the external tools we use to enhance the roleplay.
